MAIN STREET CORINTH

The mission of Main Street Corinth is to preserve and promote the unique aesthetic values and historical qualities of downtown Corinth. Our downtown is one of the most exceptional Mississippi downtowns. In an effort to attract visitors and promote businesses, Main Street Corinth sponsors fundraisers, festivals, open houses, parades, and many other unique events.

The month of May brings our Annual Arts & Crafts May Festival, located around Courthouse Square. This event is held in conjunction with one of Mississippi's most outstanding runs, the Coca Cola 10K Classic.

Main Street Corinth's largest fundraising event is the Slugburger Festival. This is held annually during the second weekend of July. This unique event includes carnival rides, games, food, and great music from both local and celebrity entertainers. And, yes, don't forget to sample our local delicacy, the Slugburger.

Fall brings us Hog Wild in Corinth held in Downtown Corinth featuring a BBQ cooking contest, carnival, great food and live entertainment. This contest is the preliminary to the famous Kansas City BBQ Society.

You can stroll our downtown streets the third weekend of November, visiting local shops and businesses for their holiday open houses. Then gather in one of Corinth's oldest buildings for the Annual Celebrate Corinth Silent Auction. Historic Downtown Corinth is the stage for displayed arts and antiques, with gourmet samplings from local restaurants, and live bands.

The Corinth and Alcorn County Christmas Parade is held the first Saturday in December. A wide array of floats parade through our downtown streets. This event provides a special small town holiday experience for participants and visitors alike.
