MAIN STREET MISSION STATEMENT
Main Street Corinth's mission is to provide leadership in promoting and supporting the economic well-being of downtown businesses and property owners. In support of this, we are committed to:
Preserving the heritage and inherent beauty of downtown.
Promoting residential development.
Improving public infrastructure.
Ensuring public services meet the needs of downtown.
Attracting a diversity of new businesses.
Accomplishments
- Sponsored the Annual Slugburger Festival
- Sponsored the Celebrate Corinth Downtown Festival
- Sponsored the Annual Arts & Crafts May Festival in conjunction with
the 10K Coca-Cola Race - Sponsored the Corinth/Alcorn County Christmas Parade
- Sponsored the Annual Hog Wild BBQ Festival
- Hosted an annual Main Street Member Appreciation Christmas Event
- Coordinated the Annual Christmas Ornament Fundraiser
Goals
- Host the Main Street Corinth Membership appreciation holiday party
- Continue to provide applications for City Of Corinth Tax Abatement Program
- Assist realtors & property owners on renovation ideas in keeping with our historic heritage
- Promote & Support the economic well-being of downtown businesses & property owners
- Continue to purchase until completion the remaining period lighting for the Historic District
- Continue to apply for grants & funding to be used for historic preservation
