Although the Gifford Global Corporation has experienced tremendous growth its first 5 years of existence, it had humble beginnings derived from strong family roots and big dreams. Newly married and in college, Dustin was doing what any person would be - looking for a job; a direction to take his life and fulfill his dreams. Not yet knowing what God had in store for him, he and his dad, Donnie Gifford, began working in commercial refrigeration. On November 21, 2003 he filed the paperwork with the Mississippi Secretary of State and began Mid-South contracting. Mid-South Contracting would later be named Gifford Global Enterprise, LLC which now consists of five divisions; Landscape, Excavation, Heating & Air, Design, and Truck Repair.
While doing commercial refrigeration, Dustin's interests began to grow toward residential construction. His first residence began in 2005 and with its SOLD sign firmly in the ground, another residence went into production. Soon after, on February 2, 2006, Gifford Global Properties, LLC, the residential construction company, was formed to make his new business of residential construction official.
As more homes went into production, Dustin recognized an opportunity to purchase some of the construction materials directly form the manufactures. On February 2, 2007, a retail store began in Baldwyn, MS with the purchase of an existing lumber yard. It was originally named National Building Supply but in early 2008, its name changed to Gifford Global Home Store, LLC.
With Residential home building firmly underway and three full time superintendents handling the daily needs of his residential construction business, Dustin turned his attention to a long time dream - commercial construction. After the establishment of Gifford Global Construction, LLC, in 2008, Dustin began construction on three office buildings with the intention of leasing space to local businesses in the downtown Tupelo area. During this same year, a need for marketing his homes was realized and Gifford Global Realty, LLC was formed. The realty office celebrated its grand opening on June 24, 2008.
On top of all that, Dustin has been chosen by St. Jude to build the St. Jude Dream home in Tupelo, MS located at Fairpark. Construction is scheduled to begin by September 2008.
